Summer gives you the chance to take some time for yourself, enjoy a holiday, and share some precious family moments. But will this year be the year you commit to a summer workout programme? Every other day for 2 months, we'll introduce you to quick, simple workouts that will help keep you in great shape! Not tempted by this programme? It's all very well wanting to get beach body ready, but you won't get there without a good workout regime. That's why we've put together a special summer training programme

 

Summer should be a chance to switch off, so you really don't want the hassle of thinking up a training plan on top of organising your holidays. 

 

No problem! We've come up with a simple, all-round programme that you can start from 1 July (or whenever you fancy it). We'll guide you through your daily summer workout routine for a whole 2 months.

 

And for the keen beans who want to use the summer to get their eating on track, we're bursting with great nutritional tips.

 

Sport in summer doesn't need to be a strict routine. It can be done whenever and wherever you want. That's why we've come up with quick, essential exercises to keep you feeling fit and healthy all summer long!

We've concocted a fitness training programme to get you feeling great this summer. With 4 sessions per week, it's a wellness winner! We've thrown in a bit of everything, from cardio to pilates, strength training and yoga, for an all-round workout.

Strong abs and a flat stomach

Doing a whole heap of sit-ups to get a flat stomach is all very well, provided that there's some method behind it! Before you choose your abs programme, it's important to set yourself clear goals because, like with other strength exercises, getting the results you want isn't just a question of pumping out more and more reps each time.

Some of the most popular exercises include crunches, glute bridges, hip / knee / leg raises, and sit-ups!

TAKING YOUR TIME IN SUMMER [4/]

Do you struggle to find a bit of 'me time' with everyone hovering around? Even if you're short on space, yoga and pilates give you a proper break. 

 

Are you away on holiday? Take the opportunity to get outside, whether it's in a park, by the sea, or at the foot of the mountains… Take a deep breath of fresh air, listen to the sounds of nature, and relax!

 

Yoga and pilates have something very important in common: they both involve synchronising your breathing with your movements. By forcing yourself to concentrate, you can switch off from your daily routine and instead focus on your body and how it feels. Find yourself a room where you feel comfortable, warn your household not to disturb you, and throw yourself into your first "downward dog"!
