WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF CROSS TRAINING?
Cross training is an excellent cardiovascular activity.
It is low-impact and helps to:
- develop your endurance
- tone your entire body
The World Health Organisation recommends practising an endurance-based activity at a moderate intensity for at least 2.5 hours per week in order to improve your cardiorespiratory endurance, your muscular and bone structure, and your overall health.
WHY IS THE AMPLITUDE OF MOVEMENT IMPORTANT?
As you know, cross trainers work all of your muscle groups (lower and upper limbs, torso, back, and core). The larger your movements, the more these muscles work and the greater your cardio intensity. The result: you burn more calories and tone your body more!
The heavier the flywheel, the smoother and more pleasant the stepping motion!

- 9 on-board programmes written in collaboration with our coaches, to help guide your workouts.
A CONNECTED CROSS TRAINER
Get motivated, reach your goals, or just have fun by connecting your device to the compatible apps Econnected or Kinomap.
With Econnected, you define your daily goal in time, distance, or calories to burn: your performance is logged and you can follow your stats.
With Kinomap, track over real scenery in total synchronisation with your device. At your own pace or in challenge mode, alone or with the Kinomap community, you can have a unique experience.
Your E-Shape cross trainer comes with a heart rate belt. This is the most reliable way to measure your heart rate. Moisten the sensors on the belt before positioning it just below the chest. Adjust it so it fits properly. After a few seconds, your heart rate will appear on the screen of your console.
Tips for adjusting your cross trainer
Your cross trainer has various adjustments:
- Adjustment of the pedal positions (close to the handlebar, in the middle, or further away). The optimum pre-set position is the middle one. The front position is useful for riders under 1.75 m tall. The rear position is well suited for riders over 1.85 m tall.
- A wheel that locks the arms and pedals for maximum safety when getting on and off your cross trainer.
TIPS TO INCREASE YOUR CROSS TRAINER'S STABILITY
For optimal comfort, we recommend placing specially designed floor pads under your cross trainer (DF 920 floor pads). These foam pads will help to: optimise the stability of the product when in use, reduce vibrations and noise and protect your floor.
Domyos cross trainers have two stabilisers at the back of the base to ensure perfect stability during your workouts, regardless of the type of flooring.
TIPS FOR MOVING YOUR CROSS TRAINER
Your cross trainer is equipped with roller wheels at the front. To move it, stand facing the front of it. Block it with your foot while pushing down on the handlebars to swing it up so it is resting on its front wheels. Gently push it forward in the desired direction.

Very poor service, very poor product
The trainer arrived with a Euro plug power supply and a Heath Robinson contraption which was supposed to convert the adaptor to a UK plug, the we no instructions on how to use this adaptor and clearly it was the wrong adaptor and wouldn't fit the power supply. Upon complaining I was eventually sent another contraption to convert the Euro plug to a UK plug - whilst this one fits it is a really poor piece of engineering. I really expect better from a company like Decathlon, supplying a power supply of dubious UK legality is really not good enough and a proper UK per supply would be provided. With all this farting about trying to get something that worked, I haven't actually tried the trainer yet, but it hasn't been a good start and I really couldn't recommend this product.

It’s great a smooth cross trainer
I love it the different programs and the iPad holder. Be even better if the app gets upgraded with more functions but can’t complain at the functionality it has already.

Getting fit
After my cardiologist told me to improve my cardiovascular after a heart procedure I purchased this and now I do 30-50 mins 4-6 times a week and it has improved my breathing and I feel like I’ve lost a few years.

Buena combinación precio y prestaciones
Me ha parecido una máquina muy segura (robustez), sencilla (panel muy intuitivo) y práctica (por la variedad de programas). Llevo usándola 2 semanas y estoy muy contenta, tiene un tamaño aceptable para los kilos de la rueda, detalles muy prácticos como el clic para sujetar tu tablet, móvil..., sistema para fijar los pedales y subir y bajar sin problemas, rueda para ajuste de las patas al desnivel del suelo...
Solo un a mejorar: la posibilidad de poder guardar los entrenamientos en la propia máquina.
