VIDEO EXERCISES: AB WHEEL

AB Wheel training enables you to strengthen your abs/core quickly and effectively. You can also use this tool to work-out your shoulders and triceps. Domyos offers you two video exercises, produced and commentated in partnership with Domyos Club sports coaches, so that you can get the best use out of your AB Wheel.

 

Safety tips:

Keep your back straight during the exercises. Do this by focusing on a specific point that enables you to keep your vertebrae well aligned. In addition, slow down your return movements to avoid treating your joints roughly, and keep your abs/core toned continuously.

 

Exercise video nbr1: pelvis movement

 

  • Difficulty: level 2

 

  • Muscles worked: abdominals, shoulders and triceps.

 

  • Performing the exercise: put both your calves on the AB Wheel bar. Your legs are outstretched and your back straight, perpendicular to your lower body. Your arms are hanging alongside your torso and only your hands are touching the floor. Push your pelvis forwards and let yourself roll. Then slowly come back to your starting position. The more you stretch your body, the more effort will be required.

 

  • Breathing: breathe in when you move your pelvis forwards, and breathe out on the return movement.

 

  • Repetitions: 3 to 5 times for 30 seconds at a brisk pace, with a 30-second recovery period between each series.

 

Exercise video nbr2: strengthen your abdominals

 

  • Difficulty: level 3

 

  • Muscles worked: abdominals, shoulders and triceps.

 

  • Performing the exercise: starting position facing the floor, with your knees on the thick mat provided. Grip the body building tool. Let yourself roll forwards and then come back to your original position. The more you stretch your body, the more effort will be required.

 

  • Breathing: breathe in when you stretch your body, and breathe out on the return movement.

 

  • Repetitions: 3 to 5 times for 30 seconds at a brisk pace, with a 30-second recovery period between each series.
